Fairplay Middle school has a student population of 950 in grades 6 - 8. We have 65 teachers on our staff.

Class Hours

Our school day begins at 8:25AM and ends at 3:40PM.

Tidbits

•  Lunch is $1.50 currently. You can pay monthly, weekly or daily.
• Each student must have an agenda book. This is to be used for writing homework assignments and communicating between teachers and parents.
• Each student can rent a locker for $3.00; this is recommended because book bags are not allowed in the classrooms.
• Students dress out for P. E. Large gym bags are not allowed. Gym lockers are available.
• No open containers are allowed outside the cafeteria. Soda cans as well as juice boxes are okay during lunch. Refillable bottles of any kind are not allowed.
• Lost and Found is located in the cafeteria, and unclaimed items are given to charity on the 1^st day of each month.
• There is no recess. We do have several special events such as dances during the school year.
• Students are allowed to use the phone in the office for emergencies only.
• Breakfast and lunch are served daily during school hours.
• Electronic games, radios, CD players, or other items of entertainment are not allowed at school.
• FMS Newsletters are mailed home monthly.
• Students may sign up to see the guidance counselor as needed.
• FMS Handbooks are given out in August:
  o Check the student handbook for the dress code.
  o Check the student handbook for behavior/demerit rules.
  o Check the student handbook for internet usage and photo permission forms.
